Got up early and dragged the chain-link fence around the front of my house and into the walipini area with my car. I had to accomplish this task while the ground was still frozen to avoid getting stuck. Interesting day. I hauled four loads of concrete to the dump in my utility trailer. Part of the time I would be chipping up the pieces of concrete which had frozen to the ground and, later in the day, I would be sliding around on slushy ground trying to avoid getting stuck! On thing for sure: I got plenty of exercise today.
I met a man at the he dump whose wife had insisted that he discard a couple of boxes of stoneware dishes. I happily took them off his hands before they got dashed on the ground. Another fellow was throwing a couple of glass windows away, which will make good glazing for some temporary grow boxes. I snapped them up as well. You see, I don’t have a wife to tell me I can’t bring things home from the dump so I do.
I showered and went to a church meeting tonight but left early because I couldn’t hear very well and couldn’t stay awake after my arduous day. So, when they asked the congregation to stand up for a rest break, I arose, then kept on trucking right out the door.
